Golf outing report

The clubs annual golf outing was held in glorious sunshine in Old Conna on Thursday last, 31st May and in all 17 teams participated. It proved a really enjoyable day and we had a great spread players including parents of many of our club juveniles, and they were joined by a regulars from companies with links to the club and former players with the club. In terms of families we had a team led by a grandfather of one of our juveniles: we had a team with a husband and wife and two teams where a father and son played, and one team where a mother and son played where the mother is the grandmother of one of our juveniles. The club was delighted also to welcome John Costello of the Dublin County Board and Sean Shanley, the Chairman of the Board who participated.

All participants were well looked after on the day by Gerry O Gorman (who did a fantastic job in running the event on the day) and all enjoyed a nice meal back in the club house.

The club thanks all who were involved in sponsoring the event and in particular to Irish Life, Pinnacle and Baker Tilly (our main sponsors)and to all who sponsored tees and to all who organised sponsorship, particularly Bryan O’Connor the chief organiser, Ger Moffatt, Ed Claffey and Paul O’Connor.

Finally congratulations to our winners (the Murrays and their team) and to Jenny Mee and the ladies team who ran them close and finished second and to the other prize winners on the day.
