The Geraldine’s U9s hurlers fought bravely at home against the might of Ranelagh Gaels last Saturday.

Two matches were played simultaneously, and the first team had the lineup of James, Conal, Senan, Daniel, Jack O’Gara and Tadhg. It was a very hard fought game with plenty of chances for both teams, but with Ranelagh winning out, despite fantastic defending, brilliant midfield play and two magnificent goals from Daniel.

The second match featured a Gers lineup of Sam, Aidan, Cillian, JP, Harry, Jack, and a transfer from the Ranelagh squad called KD. The Gers hurlers, including KD, played to the best of their abilities and there were goals from Aidan, Harry and JP, followed up with points from Jack. The two teams were evenly matched in what turned out to be quite a physical game, and when the final whistle blew, a draw was declared.

Well done to the Gers hurlers!
