The Club has formed a walking club as part of increasing its social actitivity especially amongst those who are non players. The plan is that every three weeks or so, a gang will head off on Sunday mornings up to somewhere in Dublin or Wicklow and have a pleasant walk in either woods or mountains.

It is designed to be fun, so its not a  competition and while walking gear is advisable, (walking boots), no need to head immediately to Carrickmines and those expensive shops.Whats wrong with Lidls !
Our first walk is next Sunday, which is expected to be dry but cool and we will wrap up well and head for Tibradden. Departing AIB in Cornelscourt at 10.00.  Bring layers to keep you warm and maybe a rucksack with a banana and sambo and a drink.. Car sharing is advisable in order to cut down on costs.

This walking club is for all age groups and its not confined to club members so bring along a friend. Hopefully we will get off to a good start on Sunday next. For more information please contact the Club Secretary, Ted Mc Enery on 086 3464257
