Light rain but otherwise good conditions at Cornelscourt this afternoon for our penultimate County League 8 game against St Patricks Palmerstown. It was 13 a side for this one with 6 subs.

We started slowly & got hit for a goal early on after some poor defending. Liam had us back on level terms when he rounded the full back & kicked a great shot to the roof of the net. Mark had the net shaking again a few minutes later to put us in front. The visitors kicked a couple of points at this stage. Morgan who was having a great game at mid got in for a couple of great points from play. Cian Lowry after a great give & go with Christopher added another point his shot dropping in over the black spot. Morgan had the last score of the half a point to leave the H.T. Score The Gers 2:04 St Pats 1:02.

Michael who had a great 2nd half playing more direct football had our first scores of this half two great points from play. Jamie added another point then Michael after a great solo run through the visitors defence kicked a powerful shot to the net. Morgan got the score of the game when he curled over a great point from the right wing with 10 min to play. Our defence was solid conceding only one score up to this point. Jamie & brother Mark added three more points before the visitors got in for a consolation goal with a minute to play to leave F.T.Score; The Gers 3:12 St Pats 2:03.

Our line up today was in goals Brandon, Full Backs Donal, Zach & Ronan, Half Backs Alex M & Peter. In mid Jamie & Morgan. Half Forwards Mark Michael & Cian, Full Forwards Christopher & Liam. Our subs were Shane Power, Shane O Sullivan. Jack Porter, Paul H, Eoin & Cormac who was outstanding today. They all subbed on & off playing their part in a win that sees us move up to 3rd in the table.

Our last game will be at home to St Vincents B on Sat 3rd of Nov. A win in this game with other results going in our favour could see us finish as runners up in League 8. We will need to have every one available for this vital game plus a big support on the day!! This would be a great way for our combined/united U13/U14 team to end the season.

Marc will let you know where & time we will train on Tuesday & Thursday evenings as we do not have any where to train at the moment. Hon The Gers!!
