On Sunday next, 10th March, our gallant hill-walkers are off on their second outing.

This time we are heading to the beautiful Vale of Clara which is 4 km from the village of Laragh in Wicklow. This is a very pleasant walk and not too strenuous in forest and along the banks of the Avoca River. Bring a light lunch as we will have a stop along the route. Also bring a friend. We depart at 10 from the AIB in Cornelscourt and we aim to be back between 1 and 1.30pm.

Telephone Ted on 086 3464257 if you want more info.

Hello, Some of you may know me, I heard about the hill walking ! I was threatening to join a club and had started checking them out, and then Connor Murray told me about the club doing it. This is great! I love walking, Can I join from Mid May? slogging for exams until then. Who amongst you great people is organizing it? Catherine’s husband? Great stuff altogether! Thanks Siobhan

Our esteemed Club Secretary Ted is the man responsible for this initiative and I’m sure he’ll be delighted that you’ll be out walking with them, even if not available til May.
