Our Minor team travelled to St Anne’s today and played against a strong St Anne’s team, to put in a really excellent team performance, to come away with a great win on a scoreline of 2.9 to our 2.16.

The first half was a very tight affair with both teams trading scores. Jamie Blake was unstoppable today with his boot and contributed 1.5 in the first half and added 2 more points in the second half. There was some great team play throughout the pitch, with other scores coming from Kevin and Thomas plus Liam McC fielded some great balls at full forward and got a great goal. We finished the first half, 2 points up at 2.6 to our 2.8.

This outfit of Men were ture Warriors in the second half. From Cormac in goals, right through the team to the two Sean’s upfront ( Sean H and our new Ger’s player, in Sean Lardener), OUR MEN were fantastic. 🎖🎖🎖.

The defence of Cian, Conor R, Stephen, Alex and Thomas only conceded 3 points in the second half. Comac ‘Cluxton’s kickouts were excellent and he made some fantastic saves.

Our playmakers and ball carriers of Kevin, Liam, Conor K and Jamie covered huge ground on a very large and heavy pitch, to make some great team plays and great distribution of the ball. The second half scores were added to by Liam T, Liam Mc, Kevin, Conor and Sean H to finish the game on a scoreline of 2.6 to our 2.16.

The sideline support for our Minor team was fantastic again today. This makes such a difference and is really appreciated by the team. 👍👍👍👍

The team today had the benefit of ‘two Wise Owls’, in Andy and Austie. When Austie’s hand went up to award a 45 to the Gers, that hand was not coming down, even when the Ref confronted ‘our Wise Owl’. It was heard from the sideline, “ that Austie is still scoring points for the Gers at the age of 80 years of age”.

Well done to the Men 👍👍👍👌👌👌
