Our U15s did themselves and the Club proud loosing their Final today by a single point. This was a very exciting game which was played to a high standard by both teams.
The lads lost by the narrowest of margins, a point, on a score line of 3.10 to 5.5.
The game was a roller coaster. In a tight first half we finished the better, up 3 points on a shoreline of 1.6 to 1.3. The second half started well with us getting the 1st point. However a very tall and strong Whitehall team came at us and picked up a couple of goals to go 5 points ahead, with just over 10 minutes to go.
That is when our men showed real character and played some lovely team football to fight back to draw level. Then with just over 2 minutes to go we scored what we thought was the winning goal. However, White hall closed out the final 2 minutes with a goal and then the winning point.
The U15 management want to thank the U14 players and team management who supported this team all season. This is a great example of two teams working really well together. We want to thank the parents for all their support all season and we want to thank the Club for their support. We had fantastic level of support at the match today and there was huge turnout.
