On Saturday 2nd March the U10 Girls has their first league match of the year Vs Shankill in Cornelscourt.

The conditions were very tough for both teams with wind and driving rain making passing very difficult. The
Girls adapted their game and were really effective with the hand passing game and took a good early lead.
Midfield were very dominant and gave lots of good early ball into the forwards who worked well together and got some really nice fisted scores.

In the 2nd half, girls continued their good play and never allowed Shankill time on the ball. There was strong tackling by the GERS and won lots of turnovers. The girls stretched their lead all the way to final whistle.

Well done girls and another great performance by all. Next up in the league is Ranelagh Gaels on 23rd March.
