U12s narrowly beaten by Thomas Davis in a great workout

A fine evening in Tallaght, with a few players missing, we had a tough challenge ahead of us from the outset. On a big pitch, the boys had to work hard from the very start, with lots of running required! A great work out and will help us get the boys to up the pace.

A great match that was very close right up to the end – some fantastic scores, high catches and individual battles to win the balls! We were very impressed with the progress demonstrated by a few of the boys tonight – and training will bring them on even more – particularly on Wednesday nights with Darren.

This really showed the level of commitment needed from every single player from start to finish – there was no easy ball one and plenty of strong tackling – which challenged the boys at times to keep possession. We made some fantastic moves, but we need to work more on our decision making – hthomas davis130413 p3.1 thomasdavis130413 (2) thomasdavis130413 p2.1 thomasdavis130413p3.1 thomasdavis130413p6 (2) thomasdavis130413p7 (2)elp make more out of the opportunities we get.

Looking forward to next week and our first league game next weekend against Lucan Sarsfields away. This will be a key game in terms of winning the league – so lots of sleep and training next week!

Thanks to the tremendous support from parents tonight – great to see, and a special thanks to our resident photographer Leonard!
