The Geraldine Morans are back to winning ways on their Meadowvale pitch today. It has being a while coming but the ‘Gers’ now play matches on a Saturday afternoon in Meadowvale. This afternoon our U14 team came away with a league win against Naomh Barog.

This was a very exciting match. The team were well supported by a full sideline of patents, which the lads put on a great display of football for. The Gers got off to a great start with an early point from Kevin. The opposition equalised shortly afterwards. Sean put us ahead again with a very well taken goal. However the 1st half was not all ours and we finished 1 point down on a score of 1.2 to the visitors 1.3.

The lads came out in the 2nd half with all guns blazing. They put in a real gutsy and disciplined display of football. The Gers clocked up 3.3 to their 1.1 to come away deserved winners on the day. Our Captain ( and our Dublin goal keeper) Cormac made a fantastic penalty save at a crucial time in the 2nd half. This was a real team performance. The backs were excellent. The mid field and forwards never stopped running and supported each other to make and take their scores.

Well done to all the boys today and best of luck next weekend in their Feile campaign.
